Out of Hours
The practice is covered by an out of hours service (Primecare) which deals with the entire out of hours medical care. To contact this service directly please call            0330 123 9309

Appointments

70% of all GP appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.  The remaining 30% of GP appointments become available at 8am each day.  To book these appointments, please telephone on the day that you wish to be seen as near to 8am as you can

ON-LINE BOOKING - you need to register (ask at reception) and then you can book up to 14 days in advance subject to availability

Walk in Surgery
Held at Hampton Dene only - every weekday 9am-10.30am for minor illness or new problem only - no appointment necessary


Blood tests
Please ring after 11am 3-4 days after your blood was taken. Some tests and investigations may take longer.

Nurse Practitioners

At Cantilupe Surgery we have two very highly trained and experienced Nurse Practitioners.

A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed specific advanced nursing education at higher degree level, and is trained in the diagnosis and management of common as well as complex medical conditions.

Both of the nurse practitioners have developed special interests in particular areas of medicine.

Sister Sam Stewart
Sam has extensive experience in general practice, and is able to diagnose and manage any condition that presents to her. In addition, she has highly specialised knowledge in four areas:

  • Diabetes Renal (kidney) disease
  • Rheumatology (joint and soft tissue inflammatory disease – including skills in joint injections)
  • Respiratory disease (including Asthma
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

Sister Joanna Evans
Joanna has developed a very high level of knowledge in the management of patients in two important areas:

  • Cardiovascular disease (including coronary disease, angina and arterial disease)
  • Dermatology (skin problems)
