At Cantilupe surgery we have two very highly trained and experienced nurse Consultants. Both of our nurse Consultants have trained as nurse practitioners and taken their level of expertise and training to a further level. They act independently and are able to prescribe all the usual medications, arrange investigations and refer patients. They both see patients in the walk in clinic.
They are also able to take a share in the doctor's on call rota for emergencies between 8am and 6pm.
In addition they both have particular areas of special interest and expertise:
Sister Sam Stewart
Sister Joanna Evans
Our healthcare assistants work closely with the nurse practitioners, practice nurses and doctors in the practice by performing the following tasks:-
Blood Pressure Monitoring
Spirometry (Lung Function Test)
Flu & Pneumonia Jabs
