At Cantilupe surgery we have five very highly trained and experienced nurse practitioners.

They act independently and are able to prescribe all the usual medications, arrange investigations and refer patients.

They will also see patients that have been triaged by a GP.

Our nurses can be seen by appointment Monday to Friday 8:40am-6:00pm.

The nurses can help with the following:

Immunisation and vaccinations, dressings, removal of stitches, holiday immunisations and advice, cervical smears, contraception.

As well as the above general nursing services our practice nurses have advanced training in different areas and are happy to consult on these topics and also see patients to carry out annual chronic disease monitoring.

Our healthcare assistants work closely with  the nurse practitioners, practice nurses and doctors in the practice by performing the following tasks:

We do ask that you seek a GP or Nurse Practitioner advice before asking her to take blood, perform an ECG or spirometry, feel free to refer yourself for dietary or smoking cessation advice, or to have your blood pressure checked.
